A mother’s propective on the benefits of Stainless Steel Baby Bottles

Our inspiration for creating the Eco Baba Stainless Steel Baby Bottle and Sippy is our children. And even though I’m nursing, I just couldn’t wait to try feeding our little one from our stainless steel baby bottles. Of course, now that our little girl is nearly 2 months old, I’m also excited to get back to playing tennis with my girlfriends.

In preparation for this day, I had already been pumping for about 3 weeks so we were able to use frozen breast milk that I had stored in silicon ice cube trays. As each cube equals 1 ounce, it’s easy to measure the right amount of milk. So, I put 3 cubes of milk into our Eco Baba Baby Bottle and added our favorite level 1 wide neck bottle nipple (remember, any brand of wide neck nipple will work). Then, I ran the tap water in our sink to the temperature I wanted the milk and held the bottle directly under the running water. In about 1 minute, the milk was not only thawed, it was the perfect temperature. By making the water the temperature I wanted the milk, there was never a chance the milk would over heat.

We had decided to let our 7-year-old son do the first feeding as he had been begging us to let him since the day she was born! We gave him the baby and then handed him the bottle and off they went! The bottle performed perfectly and surprisingly, the baby took it very easily. For those of you that nurse, you already know that introducing a bottle can be tough so I was relieved it went well.

It is such a relief to me that we have a safe Baby Bottle to use with our daughter. Prior to starting this company, I used to wonder how I would bottle feed my next child given that most day cares won’t allow glass and the dangers of plastics are being talked about daily on the news.
